ABOUT THE EVENT: THEME

Moving Forward Or Back To The Future : Boutique Firms In 2030

The year that was 2020 will be set in history as the ‘reboot’ year. Organisations have had to rethink their strategies, both internally and externally, thinking fast and long term, all within a shifting changing world. It is when situations are out of focus that real focus is needed and effective leadership skills are paramount. The Managing Partners Forum | Boutique and Small Firms will explore how firms are dusting off the old year and moving forward into a better, brighter future. Leading through change is important and what strengthens a firm are hard decisions made with one foot in the present and one in the future, taking into consideration the fluctuating environment that we are still living in. New terms have been introduced, ‘work from home’ and social distancing are part of the work fabric now - how firms are managing staff and their wellbeing, costs and office space are all very current topics. Existing issues like the economy, servicing clients better, business development and marketing are all relevant and essential for running a small or boutique law firm in this brave new world post-covid. Held at the waterfront Pier One Hotel overlooking Sydney Harbour, the Managing Partners Forum is an opportunity for all law firm leaders of small and boutique law firms to convene amongst peers and discover new ways of managing their firms for future prosperity.
